Dance is one of the healing modalities I love the most!
I have been dancing since I was three years old.
Dance is more than movement for enjoyment! It can also be an act of release, which is why I facilitate sessions, demonstrate, and teach about the power of dance. I offer “Dance as a form of Healing” as a Speaker Offering and a Specialized group session that I host.
Dance and body movement express our experiences and tell our story: a story of how we think and feel about our past, today, and future. When we have difficulty conveying our thoughts, emotions, or experiences, dance and movements can speak on our behalf. These movements support our self-awareness while validating our experiences. Dancing and body movements help us search, explore, release internalized trauma, and provide emotional and spiritual healing.
Dance and various forms of movement allow us to communicate our thoughts, moods, feelings, and hopes, and express our sense of freedom!

Dance lets us celebrate and express joy. Dance can aid our physical and mental well-being while socializing with others. It can reduce stress, improve our mood, and self-confidence as we feel the music and move. Our focus is on fun with self-expression as we listen to different music genres.
